Eponymous NLP course, 'Me, Myself, My Team' - next date 30 June 2009!

Sue Noble and Angus bring NLP to you in both in-house and open formats during 2009!

What is the difference which makes the difference in effective management and leadership?  How can two managers with similar backgrounds, education, skills and commitment be so different in terms of their effectiveness and the way they communicate with others?  This course will help you discover your own effectiveness and the secret behind successful leadership and building teams through powerful influencing,  flexible thinking and openness to self-challenge. 

This is an advanced course which builds on any previously attended workshops in Coaching and Leadership Development with the emphasis on Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques and models to develop positive mindsets and solution focused outcomes. 

A book by the same title as the course, Me, Myself, My Team and written by Dr. Angus McLeod is available to buy to accompany the course and as a useful reference during the workshops.   

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this course you will have more choice over your style of leadership and where your similarities or differences are with your team, your manager and your stakeholders.  It will help you to take responsibility of your own style of leadership and focus on how changing behaviours creates change around you and so eventually leads to a change of culture.  

This is ideally a two day course with a break between day 1 and 2 to allow skills practice in a range of NLP techniques and the opportunity to discuss challenges and further NLP skills development towards excellent leadership.  

Who should attend?

  • Anyone who has previously attended ILM and other Coaching workshops
  • Anyone who is leading or managing a team and is looking to improve working relationships, performance and motivation in themselves and others.
  • Anyone having previously attended an Introduction to Management course

Course Outline

Day 1 

  • Managing Similarities and Differences at work
  • Working with the team’s values and behaviours
  • Leader v Follower style of leadership
  • Improving performance mindsets through positive thinking
  • Recognising internal conflict and dialogue in yourself and others
  • Understanding Thinking Preferences
  • Communication styles – adopted or adapted? 
  • Close and Review

Day 2

  • Review of day 1, lessons learnt, challenges met
  • Assessing Motivation and Needs
  • From Responsibility to Achievement
  • Managing Personal and Team Objectives and Action Tasks
  • Promoting the Coaching Culture through effective leadership
  • Managing conflict within external teams
  • Working towards Open Minds and Flexibility
  • Close and Review

Incorporating Me, Myself, My Team with Action Learning Sets (in-company only)

It is recommended that to enhance the learning, understanding and on-going development of single-organisation delegates wishing to attend this 2 day course, an initial half day Action Learning Set be arranged to enable the delegates to learn more about the ongoing benefits of Action Learning and how to ensure success during the Set by learning about the process.  

This will then be followed by the 2-day 'Me, Myself, My Team' Coaching and Leadership course delivered by Sue Noble and Angus McLeod.

A further 2 x half day Action Learning Sets are recommended with groups mixed and split into two groups to continue discussion on development needs and how their skills and knowledge can be utilised by team delegates to gain further experience and expertise.
